For
the past ten years it has been my great honor and privilege
to be the official photographer for Wolf Haven
International, a world-renowned wolf sanctuary and
educational facility located in Washington State.
Wolf Haven
International is among the most highly regarded facilities
of its kind and has not only saved hundreds of wolves and
other canids from certain death, but has contributed a great
deal to one of the greatest conservation success stories
ever told... The return of the wolf.
Having had an active participation in
many of Wolf Haven's programs for nearly 7 years, I
have endeavored to intertwine my experience
̶ my own understanding or
perception of what it means to move heaven and earth simply to allow
another species to live ̶
into my images of Wolf Haven's precious sanctuary
residents... Wolves who, like their wild relatives live and thrive, in spite of our own human misconceptions and
mistakes and because of so many dedicated individuals.

While they may have originally been
bred for other purposes, these wolves (and many more) have
found true sanctuary in coming to live out their lives at Wolf Haven. Those who are visible to visitors unceasingly
amaze and inspire people of all kinds with their humble yet
majestic presence. It is my sincerest hope that my
photographs will help to further and promote their cause,
thereby contributing to in some small way to the
wolves and the wonderful organization upon which their
survival depends.
